Why do we need to know the flow of campaign funds?

Partai Golkar
Partai Golongan Karya or commonly abbreviated as Partai Golkar is a political party in Indonesia. It was founded as the Joint Secretariat of Golongan Karya (Sekber Golkar) in 1964, and participated for the first time in the national elections in 1971 as Golkar (Golongan Karya). The Golongan Karya Party did not officially become a political party until 1999, when Golkar was required to be a party to participate in elections.
The Golkar Party was in power from 1971 to 1999, under the leadership of President Soeharto and B.J. Habibie. It then joined the ruling coalition under president Abdurrahman Wahid, Megawati Soekarnoputri, and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. When President Joko Widodo of PDI-P was elected in 2014, the Golongan Karya Party initially chose to join the opposition coalition led by former general President Prabowo Subianto, which eventually redirected its support back to the government led by the 7th President Joko Widodo in 2016.[13]
In its development, especially post-New Order, the Golkar Party successfully transformed into a modern party that adopts democratic values.[14] The leaders of the Golkar Party also managed to steer Golkar as a political party with a centrist ideology that embraces all factions with an emphasis on moderate spirit.
