Partai Nasdem
NasDem Party (an abbreviation of National Democratic Party) is a political party in Indonesia that was founded based on a notarial deed on February 1, 2011, in Jakarta. The NasDem Party was declared on July 26, 2011, and was registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) on July 27, 2011.[6] The NasDem Party was established by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights as a legal entity on November 11, 2011, and was established as the founding date of the NasDem Party.
In January 2013, the KPU established 10 political parties that passed the administrative and factual verification stages, making the NasDem Party the only new party to qualify as participants in the 2014 Election.[7] In the same month, this party was embroiled in issues regarding conflicts among party elites. The Chief of the Supreme Council of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, was reportedly going to be nominated as the General Chair of the NasDem Party at the NasDem Party Congress to be held on January 25, 2013, in Jakarta.[8] In that month, there was also a dismissal action against the Secretary-General of the DKI NasDem Youth Guards, Saiful Haq, along with the freezing of that DPW management.[9] At the inaugural congress of this party, held in January 2013, all participants of the NasDem Party congress from across Indonesia unanimously agreed to elect Surya Paloh as the new General Chair of the NasDem Party, replacing Patrice Rio Capella.[10] On May 17, 2023, the Secretary General of the NasDem Party, Johnny G. Plate, has been designated as a suspect in the corruption case of the 4G BTS infrastructure project in remote, isolated, and lagging areas, which is estimated to have caused state losses of more than Rp8 trillion.
