Abdul Kharis Almasyhari (born August 25, 1968) is a preacher, entrepreneur, and politician from Indonesia. He was elected as a member of the DPR for the period 2014–2019. Starting a printing business while still in college, Kharis emerged as an entrepreneur through the publishing company he founded, PT Era Adicitra Intra Media. He previously worked as a lecturer at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta before deciding to join the Justice and Prosperity Party (PKS). The 2014 legislative elections brought him to sit as a member of the DPR representing the electoral district of Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Boyolali, and Klaten. Source: Wikipedia
