Abdul Wachid (born May 12, 1961) is a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2009-2014 from the Gerindra faction representing the area of Central Java. Previously, Abdul Wachid was known as a successful sugar entrepreneur and the chairman of the Indonesian People's Sugar Farmers Association (APTRI). Abdul Wachid also served as the chairman of the Gerindra DPD in Central Java and handled issues related to farmers. He was placed on Commission IV of the House of Representatives, which deals with Agriculture, Plantations, Forestry, Marine Affairs, Fisheries, and Food. Source: Wikipedia
