Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Drs. H. Adang Daradjatun (born May 13, 1949) is one of the prominent figures in the Indonesian police force. He was born in Bogor in 1949 as the son of a Prosecutor. His last position in the police was Deputy Chief of Police with the rank of Inspector General. Adang was also a candidate for the Governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2007 Gubernatorial Election, where he was supported by Justice and Prosperity Party and paired with Dani Anwar from the Justice and Prosperity Party, and he had to compete with the couple Fauzi Bowo and Prijanto. However, he ultimately lost. He is currently a legislative member (DPR-RI) from the DKI Jakarta III electoral district for the 2014-2019 period.
