Ahmad Doli Kurnia Tandjung attended primary education at SD Bhayangkari Medan from 1978 to 1984. He continued to junior high school and high school in Medan, from 1984 to 1987 and from 1987 to 1990, respectively. In 1991, he began his higher education at Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) majoring in Mathematics and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 1996. During his college years, Ahmad Doli was active in various student organizations.
