Airin Rachmi Diany (born in 1976) is an Indonesian politician who served as the Mayor of South Tangerang for two terms, from 2011 to 2021. She is the aunt of the Deputy Governor of Banten, Andika Hazrumy. During her leadership, Airin was known for her active role in preventing the spread of radical ideologies and recruitment efforts by fundamentalist groups in her region. She initiated various interfaith forums with support from the central government as a step to strengthen tolerance and maintain community security. In addition, in February 2017, Airin also initiated a canal construction project to prevent flooding on the Jakarta–Serpong Toll road, as part of efforts to improve infrastructure and reduce the impact of disasters in urban areas.
