Asep Wahyuwijaya was born in Bogor Regency and is now 51 years old. He is known by various layers of society and has been active as an activist since his student days at Padjadjaran University (Unpad), Bandung. Asep Wahyuwijaya began his activism in his first year as a student by becoming a cadre and an administrator at HMI Bandung Branch, the Student Senate of the Faculty of Law Unpad, and the Daily Board of the Student Senate of Unpad. After more than a decade of ups and downs becoming a professional and founding several companies in addition to his independent law office, at the end of 2012 he began to enter political parties. The year 2014 was his first legislative election. Thanks to his hard work as a politician, the results were very satisfying, even though he was a member of the West Java Provincial DPRD; however, Asep Wahyuwijaya's personal vote count far exceeded the members of the Indonesian Parliament from his party at that time. The year 2019 became a second legislative contest that he participated in. Armed with the results of his political work in the first period in the West Java Provincial DPRD, this HMI alumnus who served as one of the staff members of the Chairman of MN Kahmi and was elected for two periods as the Presidium of Kahmi for West Java was much more relaxed in going through his legislative process.
