Denny Wahyudi (born August 29, 1977), known as Denny Cagur is an actor, comedian, presenter, singer, and Indonesian politician of Sundanese and Betawi descent. Since October 2020, Denny officially joined the National Mandate Party (PAN) following his senior in the comedy world, Eko Patrio in the same party. Denny's decision to enter the political arena he acknowledged as a new step to achieve new accomplishments in the dynamic political world. Besides a long-standing interest in politics, Denny also mentioned that by engaging in politics, more people can be helped. However, in a post on his Instagram story on January 5 2023, Denny decided not to participate in the legislative election in 2024. This decision had been made a few months earlier for reasons that are not precisely known. However, after that, on May 11, 2023, Denny's name was registered as a candidate for legislative member for 2024 from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) along with 13 other artists to the General Election Commission.
