Abdul Fikri Faqih (born July 17, 1963) is an Indonesian politician from Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). He currently serves as a member of the House of Representatives representing the Tegal and Brebes electoral district. Previously, he was a member of the Central Java Regional House of Representatives for two terms from 2004 to 2014. As the son of a kiai, Fikri was raised under the influence of Islamic boarding schools, but completed his formal education in public schools. Graduating from IKIP Semarang with a degree in electrical engineering education in 1986, Fikri worked as a teacher with civil servant status. His teaching experience in several schools in Tegal earned him recognition as one of the exemplary teachers in Tegal City in 1988. However, he resigned and chose to join PKS. The 1999 election brought him to serve as a Member of the Tegal Regency Regional House of Representatives. In the party structure, Fikri previously served as the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of PKS Central Java from 2010 to 2015. Source: Wikipedia
