Eko Hendro Purnomo, better known as Eko Patrio (born December 30, 1970), is an Indonesian comedian, presenter, producer, politician, and actor. He is one of the three members of the Indonesian comedy group, Patrio, along with Parto and Akri. Eko was born to the couple Sumarsono Mulyo and Sumini. While still in high school, Eko formed a comedy group called Seboel, which stands for "A Group of Aware Kids," along with Jejen and Tejo. They won a comedy competition held by Radio Suara Kejayaan. After graduating from college, he formed a new comedy group named Patrio with Akri and Parto. In 2009, Eko became the number one candidate through Partai Amanat Nasional for the electoral district of East Java 8, which includes Nganjuk Regency, the birthplace of his parents. In the 2014 Indonesian legislative election, Eko ran as a legislative candidate for DPR from the electoral district of East Java 8.
