Drs. H. Kahar Muzakir (born December 10, 1946) is an Indonesian politician who serves as the Vice Chairman of the MPR RI for the period of 2024–2029 and a member of DPR RI from the Golkar Party for five periods: 2004–2009, 2009–2014, 2014–2019, 2019–2024, and 2024–2029. Kahar Muzakir is a Bachelor of Education in Mechanical Engineering IKIP Yogyakarta who then continued to obtain a Bachelor of Education in Mechanical Engineering at IKIP Yogyakarta in 1970. His political career began when he joined the HMI branch of Yogyakarta (1967—1974), then he joined the DPD AMPI South Sumatra (1984—1989), he was also a former Vice Chairman of the DPD Golkar Party of South Sumatra.
