Ledia Hanifa Amaliah (born April 30, 1969) is an Indonesian politician from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). She is currently serving her third term as a member of the DPR after being re-elected in the 2019 general election. Ledia is known for her work in women's empowerment. Through her involvement in the Islamic advocacy movement, she showed her interest in politics, joining PKS when the party was still named the Justice Party in 1998. In 2009, she was elected as a member of the DPR representing the electoral district of the City of Bandung and the City of Cimahi. The same electoral district brought her back to the DPR in 2014 and 2019. While in parliament, she poured her views into the drafting of several bills, including legislation on ensuring the fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities. She was once appointed by her party to replace Fahri Hamzah as Vice Chair of the DPR in April 2016. However, her inauguration was halted due to a lawsuit filed by Fahri Hamzah. Source: Wikipedia
