H. Muhammad Nasir Djamil, M.Si. was born in Medan on January 22, 1970. He is a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) representing the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam II electoral district. He completed his undergraduate education (S1) at UIN Ar-Raniry and continued his postgraduate education (S2) at National University, Jakarta. In his political career, Nasir served as a member of the Aceh Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) from 1999 to 2004, and then became a member of the DPR RI since 2004 to the present.
