Puan Maharani Nakshatra Kusyala Devi (born September 6, 1973) is a politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) who currently serves as the Speaker of the People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (Speaker of the DPR RI) for the 2024–2029 term. Puan is the first woman and the third youngest person, after Achmad Sjaichu and I Gusti Gde Subamia, to have served as the Speaker of the DPR permanently; she was 46 years old at her inauguration. Puan is also recorded as the first Speaker of the DPR post-Reformation to successfully serve for two consecutive terms (2019-2024 and 2024-2029). Previously, she was the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of Indonesia from 2014 to 2019, during which she also became the first woman and the youngest person to ever serve as a coordinating minister.
