Rachel Maryam Sayidina (born April 20, 1980) is an Indonesian model, actress, and politician of Sundanese descent. Before starting her career in politics, she was known as a model and film actress. She starred in several feature films in the early 2000s, including Eliana, Eliana (2002), Arisan! (2003), and Janji Joni (2005). Her impressive acting in these three films received critical acclaim and led to her receiving three nominations for the Citra Awards at the Indonesian Film Festival. She won one of them for her role in the film Arisan! as Best Supporting Actress. Currently, she serves as a member of the People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia elected from the Great Indonesia Movement Party and has served for three terms since October 1, 2009. Rachel Maryam is assigned to Commission I of the Indonesian Parliament from the Gerindra faction, dealing with Defense, Foreign Affairs, Communication and Informatics, and Intelligence.
