Dr. (H.C.) H. Rachmad Gobel (born September 3, 1962) is an entrepreneur and politician from Indonesia. Rachmad is the second generation of the Gobel family that controls Gobel Group, which was founded by his father, Thayeb Mohammad Gobel. In the period of 2010-2014, he was elected as a member of the National Innovation Committee, and on October 26 2014, he was appointed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo to serve as Minister of Trade from October 27, 2014, until August 12, 2015, in the Working Cabinet Period 2014 - 2019.
