Rano Karno (born October 8, 1960) is better known by the name Bang Doel or Babeh Doel who is the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for the current period 2025-2030, as well as an actor, singer, politician, and director of Indonesian nationality. His career in the legislature as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives was his first step after completing his duties as Governor of Banten in 2017. In the 2024 Legislative Election, he resigned from his position as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the previous period and did not take the oath of office even though he was successfully elected in that election to register as a Candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2024 Regional Election. He is a cadre of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle since the early days of the Indonesian Reformation after having briefly joined Golongan Karya while serving as a member of the People's Consultative Assembly representing the Group.
