Sutono is a man born on July 28, 1958, in Karanganyar, Central Java, and is known as a cadre and General Secretary of the PDIP Perjuangan Lampung. Before entering politics, he began his career as staff at the National Park and Tourism Forest Directorate in Bogor. He also worked as the Utilization Head in the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, Kota Agung. Then he worked as the Subdivision Head of Evlap at the Directorate General of PHPA, Ministry of Forestry in Jakarta in 1992.
