Epyardi Asda is a man born on March 11, 1962, in Padang and was previously known as a member of the DPR from the United Development Party (PPP). However, in 2018, Epyardi decided to move to PAN, and his position in the DPR was replaced by Hasanuddin. Before running in the 2024 Gubernatorial Election, Epyardi also ran as a legislative candidate for the DKI Jakarta II electoral district in the 2019 election.
