Born on December 12, 1959, he served as Governor of Gorontalo from 2009 to 2012, after previously being Vice Governor for two terms (2001–2006 and 2007–2009). Gusnar Ismail is an alumnus of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sam Ratulangi University in Manado, where he completed his undergraduate education in 1985. His academic journey continued to the doctoral level, completing the PhD program at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University in Yogyakarta in 2010. His dissertation is titled "Islamic Leadership in Regional Government Administration: A Study of the Province of Gorontalo" which highlights the role of Islamic values in governance. Before entering the political arena, Gusnar had built a career in government holding various strategic positions. Idah Syahidah Rusli Habibie

A woman born in Solo, March 11, 1964, is not only known as the wife of a regional head but also as a successful bureaucrat and entrepreneur. She started her career as a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) since 1991, and Idah served as the Secretary of the Gorontalo City Social Affairs Office in 2008. Although she has an entrepreneurial spirit, she chose to pursue a bureaucratic path until she eventually retired early in 2019 to enter the political world. According to gorontaloprov.go.id, Idah joined the Golkar Party and successfully stepped into Senayan as a member of the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period. This decision was made after strong encouragement from various parties who wanted her representation in national politics. Idah completed her primary to secondary education in Solo, Central Java.
