Muhammad Kasuba (born September 24, 1960) is the Regent of South Halmahera for 2 terms, namely 2005–2010 and 2011–2016. Muhammad previously served as a member of the North Maluku Regional House of Representatives PKS Faction from 2001 to 2005 and a member of the Maluku Regional House of Representatives PKS Faction from 1999 to 2001. Muhammad Kasuba is the younger brother of the former Governor of North Maluku Abdul Ghani Kasuba. Muhammad Kasuba began his career as the leader of the Alkhairaat Islamic Boarding School Gorontalo (1981–1984). He then served as the Documentation and Archive Staff and Library at the Institute of Public Policy (1988–1991), the leader of the Alkhairaat Islamic Boarding School Ome, Tidore (1992–1997), a lecturer at IAIN Alauddin Ternate Branch (1993–1997), and a lecturer at IAIN Ambon (1997–2000). Muhammad Kasuba began to engage in politics by serving as the Chairman of the Provincial Board of the Justice Party in Maluku in 1998. He was elected as a member of the Provincial Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Maluku in 1999. After the establishment of North Maluku Province, he was appointed as a member of the Provincial Regional House of Representatives of North Maluku in 2001 and was re-elected in 2004 until 2005. Basri Salama (born August 8, 1957) is a politician from Indonesia. He is the 11th of 12 siblings. He started his education at SD Negeri 1 Gamtufkange Tidore, then continued to SMP Negeri 1 Soasio and then SMEA Negeri Soasio. He studied at Khairun University Ternate, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Indonesian Language Study Program. He has served as the Secretariat of the Islamic Student Association (HMI) National Committee of Indonesian Youth (KNPI) at Khairun University Ternate in 1997, Secretary of the Student Senate FKIP Khairun University Ternate in 1998, Deputy Chair of KNPI North Maluku from 2004-2006, Deputy Chair of KNPI North Maluku from 2006-2007, and Secretary of the Reform Star Party from 2009-2010. From 2010 to 2013, he served as the manager of the Construction Service Development Agency (LPJK) North Maluku.
