John Tabo (born June 2, 1970, in Tolikara, Papua) is a Golkar politician who currently serves as the Governor of the Highlands of Papua (2025–2030) after being officially inaugurated on April 17, 2025, by President Prabowo Subianto (). Previously, he led the Tolikara Regency from 2005 to 2010, and then became the Regent of Mamberamo Raya from 2021 to 2025. A graduate of the Open University and Cenderawasih University, as well as holding a Master's degree from the American Institute of Management Studies in Honolulu, he is known for his strong leadership in the remote areas of Papua and consistency in the development of new autonomous regions.

Ones Pahabol (born November 22, 1971, in Yahukimo, Papua Mountains) is a politician and educator from Papua who served as the Regent of Yahukimo for two terms (2005–2016) and Chairman of the Yahukimo Regional Representative Council. He holds a doctorate from Brawijaya University and is active in the Golkar Party. In the 2024 regional elections, he was elected as the Deputy Governor of the Papua Mountains accompanying John Tabo, with a vision for development based on local culture, education, and improvement of basic services in rural areas.
