Hendrik Lewerissa

Hendrik Lewerissa (born March 2, 1968) is an Indonesian politician who serves as Governor of Maluku for the 2025–2030 term paired with Abdullah Vanath. Previously, he served as a member of the House of Representatives for the 2019–2024 term. He represents the electoral district of Maluku. Hendrik is a cadre of the Great Indonesia Movement Party, serving on Commission VI. He also serves as the Chairman of the Gerindra Party's DPD in Maluku Province. Hendrik Lewerissa is known to have attended elementary school at Itawaka, Central Maluku from 1974 to 1980. He then continued his education at SMP Negeri 7 Ambon from 1980 to 1983. Hendrik Lewerissa began his career as an Administrative Staff at PT Tugu Pratama Indonesia from 1995 to 2000. He also served as a lawyer in a law firm and legal advisor to several oil and coal mining companies. Hendrik Lewerissa ventured into politics by joining the Democratic Party from 2006 to 2010.
