Mathius Derek Fakhiri (born January 6, 1968) is a retired Polri officer whose last position was the Main Policy Analyst of the Mobile Brigade Field of Korbrimob Polri. Mathius is a graduate of the Police Academy in 1990. He has experience in the Brimob field. The last position of this three-star general was the Head of the Papua Regional Police. In addition, he comes from a mixed family of Bade, Edera, Mappi, South Papua, and South Sorong, Southwest Papua. Aryoko Alberto Ferdinand Rumaropen has become one of the candidates for the Vice Governor of Papua in the 2024 Election, alongside his partner Mathius Derek Fakhiri as the candidate for Governor. Before running for Vice Governor of Papua, Aryoko held positions in the Papua Provincial government, serving as the Head of the Bureau of Human Resource Development (BPSDM). He is also a member of the Democratic Party. Aryoko holds a Master's degree in Regional and Urban Planning from Gadjah Mada University in 2007 and a Doctorate in Social Sciences from Cendrawasih University in 2021. With this experience, the Democratic Party supports Aryoko to run in the 2024 Election as the Vice Governor of Papua. In addition to the Democratic Party, the Mathius-Aryoko pair has secured support from several other political parties including the Democrats, Perindo, PKB, PAN, PSI, Labor, Hanura, PBB, PKN, PKS, Gerindra, PPP, Gelora, Garuda, Ummat, Golkar, and Nasdem.
