Meki Fritz Nawipa is a pilot and politician from Papua who currently serves as the Governor of Central Papua for the 2025–2030 term. Born on May 6, 1978, in Enarotali, Paniai Regency, he studied at the Bible College of Victoria (now Melbourne School of Theology) in Australia and continued his aviation studies at Deraya Flying School, Halim, and the MAF Flight Training Centre in Papua New Guinea. Since 2008, Meki has been active as a pioneering pilot, serving remote areas in Papua through airlines such as MAF Sentani, Susi Air, Alfa Trans, and Tariku Aviation. In 2018, he entered the political arena and was elected as the Regent of Paniai until 2023. In the 2024 regional election, Meki ran as a candidate for Governor of Central Papua from PDI Perjuangan, teamed up with Deinas Geley, and won the election with a total of 502,624 votes (45.48%). He was inaugurated as the first definitive governor on February 20, 2025, by President Prabowo Subianto. Sources

Deputy Regent of Puncak Jaya
Deinas Geley was born on December 16, 1975, in Paniai, Irian Jaya. He completed his primary education at SD Inpres Ilu (1982-1988), then continued to SMP Negeri Illu (1989-1991) and SMEA Sidratul Muntaha YAPIS Wamena (1991-1994). He earned a Bachelor’s degree in State Administration from STIA Satya Mandala, Nabire, in 2002, and continued his Master's studies in Public Administration at STIA “YAPPANN”, Jakarta, in 2011. Before entering politics, Deinas Geley had experience as an employee of the Regional State-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in Papua Province. His political career began when he ran for the Deputy Regent of Puncak Jaya in the 2017 Regional Election, pairing with Yuni Wonda. This pair successfully won the election with 74,125 valid votes (43.25%) and was officially inaugurated on December 7, 2017. In the simultaneous 2024 Regional Election, Deinas Geley ran as a candidate for Deputy Governor of Central Papua alongside Meki Fritz Nawipa. This pair was subsequently inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, on February 20, 2025, becoming the first definitive leaders of Central Papua Province. Sources
