Simon Petrus Kamlasi is a high-ranking officer in the Indonesian Army who has served as the Special Staff to the Army Chief since July 24, 2024. Simon was born in Soe, Timor Tengah Selatan, on April 14, 1975. Simon, a graduate of the Military Academy in 1996, is paired with Adrianus Garu to contest in the East Nusa Tenggara Gubernatorial Election 2024. Adrianus Garu was born in Manggarai Barat, NTT, on May 8, 1974. This politician from the Gerindra Party is also one of the senators or members of the DPD RI for the period from 2014 to 2019. Previously, he was also elected as a member of the Manggarai NTT DPRD in the 2009 elections. Then Adrianus Garu served in the position of Committee IV of the DPD RI while also being a senator. Some other positions he held include being a member of the Parliamentary Cooperation Agency, a member of the Special Committee on DPD RI's Code of Conduct, Vice Chair of the BKSAP DPD RI, and a member of the MPR Research Board. After completing his duties as a senator, Adrianus Garu was entrusted to become a member of the RI BKPN Commissioner from 2020 to 2023. Then in the 2024 elections, he became one of the legislative candidates from the Gerindra Party for the DPT RI electoral district NTT 1.
